Bryce is famous for its many hoodoos (irregular columns of rock), Formed by frost weathering and erosion. They exist on every continent, but Bryce has the largest concentration found anywhere on Earth. The red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views for visitors. First settled by Mormon pioneers in the 1850s, Bryce Canyon was designated a national Perk in 1928.
