Dall Sheep - 3D Lenticular Postcard Greeting Card
4x6 inches - In clear protective reusable sleeve
Dall Sheep are noted for the massive curled horns on the males, called rams. The female ewes also carry horns, but theirs are shorter and more slender. Horns grow steadily during spring, summer, and early fall. In late fall or winter, horn growth slows and eventually ceases. This start-and-stop growth results in a pattern of rings called annuli, which can help determine age. Rams live to 16 years and ewes to 19 years of age. Their primary predators are wolves, bears and coyotes.
