Bisbee, Arizona - 3D Postcard
4x6 inches - In protective sleeve
Founded in 1880, Bisbee was built on copper mining, although gold, silver, zinc, and turquoise were also extracted. An open pit mine, called the lavender pit, operated from 1917 until it closed in 1975. Tourism now dominates the picturesque mining town with its charming, century-old architecture. The city of Bisbee manages underground tours of the Cooper Queen Mine. Art and culture have transformed the city into a home for galleries, theater, and murals.
