Prairie Dogs - 3D Lenticular Postcard Greeting Card
4x6 inches - In clear protective reusable sleeve
These plant-eating burrowing rodents, native to the grasslands of North America, are a type of ground squirrel. Their call, similar to dog's bark, led to their name. Lewis and Clark first described the black-tailed prairie dog in 1804, calling them "barking squirrels". About a foot long and weighing one to three pounds, these highly social animals live in large colonies, consisting of a collection of families that can cover hundreds of acres.
